I have got a set of scanned experimental images by chance. Through the observation and association of these images, it seems that I can vaguely feel some kind of faint symbols with the traditional meaning of the East. This inspired me to continue to use scanning as a camera-less method of photography that is close to the sense of touch.
In first series of “Infinite Proximity”, I intended to break the traditional pattern of "reading pictures" to a certain extent. The viewer can guess what the image is and at the same time make a reverie, making them keep searching for the answer that is infinitely close to what they think through visual stimulation.
The works of “Infinite Proximity” Series II deconstruct and recreate things that do not have obvious symbolic characteristics, hoping to draw their minds infinitely close to my subjective guidance through the symbols of form and meaning, so that the viewers can step into an illusionary time and space with classical oriental poetic meaning that is difficult to distinguish reality and virtuality.
